I am a senior Undergraduate Student in Biomedical Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey, México, pursuing a Biomedical Engineering degree. I have a deep passion for data science and AI in the medical field
I have experience at the Cyberphysical Systems Lab, working as a volunteer under dr. Rita Q. Fuentes in AI models on brain computer interfaces with EEG signals using Python, Matlab and R. My most recent work experience is at the FNNDSC, affiliated with the BCH and Harvard Medical School. Under the guidance of dr. Kiho Im, I worked in the development of new research initiatives and the processing of fetal brain MRI from different in-house datasets. My main project was the design, training, and evaluation of a deep learning model for the detection of structual brain anomalies.
My research interests lie mostly on deep learning applications to the medical field, most importantly on:
- Image / Signal Processing
- Neuroscience
- Biomimicry for more efficient neural networks
- Health Informatics
Outside the lab, I mostly enjoy running, reading, and working out. Currently training for a half marathon!
